STEVE’S TURNING 60
Steve’s turning 60 so what shall he do?
Now that he’s 60 he hasn’t a clue!
Let’s hand him our clutter he’ll turn it to new!
With hammer, saw, polish and his Einstein like mind
His recycled creations can be quite a find!
Now that he’s 60, hope it won’t be a grind!
A pink house, wave fence, or LED lighted van,
I Make Stuff, that’s Steve, we know he’s the man!
Now that he’s 60, hope he’s not stuck on the can!
In tie dies, camos, stained shirts ‘n T’s and ripped up
pants that fall to his knees
Now that he’s 60, let’s give him a break, please!
When it’s nice weather, we may see him sailing up and
down the creek
On the dilapidated Hobie “Just Blow Me”
Cursing like an old fool n’ flying fast as lightening
streaks!
An Old Salt and stubborn and knowing it all
Now that he’s 60 let’s hope he won’t start to crawl!
When he pirates with me he’s known as Scurvy Steve
You can be he’s got mischief hiding up his sleeve!
Some of his behavior should probably be outlawed
But watch out he’s awfully strong and could have you
keel hauled!
Steve’s a father to a daughter, a grandpa of two
He’s a dad to four cats and the keeper of that zoo!
He runs up a ladder, stands like a chimp at the top
Now that he’s 60, he still makes my heart go clip clop!
He’s known as Mr. Science when he clowns with me
Not afraid to wear pink teal or purple or be a kid still,
you see!
He’s all about color and likes things bright
Now that he’s 60 he better not lose his keen sight!
Though sometimes silent and gruff he has a big heart
Steve’s a good friend you can count on he plays a big
part! He has a laugh for every occasion and at the same
time can solve your every equation!
If we’re lucky he might play one of his guitars
Or mandolins soon
Cause at 60 he still dreams of going to the moon!
Steve may forget that tonight even was
Since you know when you’re 60 it all turns to fuzz!
He’s My Happy Old Hippy
My Rocket Science Man
At 60 he’s lucky to have me - his biggest fan!
Steve, you made it to 60!
Hip Hip Horray and Hurrah!
Happy Birthday Steve! May you reach your Shangri-la!
We really hope that being 60 will be fun!
Look at it this way:
YOU”VE ONLY JUST BEGUN!
Love,
JEN
